The Visionary Behind the Canvas
Scott's Lifelong Quest to be "normal"

For me, creating art isn't simply what I do, it's how I make sense of the world.
I've spent much of my life feeling like an observer rather than a participant. Living with anxiety, ADHD, autism, depression, self-doubt, and navigating seasons of profound personal change has often made the world feel loud, complicated, and difficult to understand. In those moments, creating becomes more than an artistic practice, it becomes a way to process, heal, and reconnect with myself.
I rarely begin with a plan. I start with the simple act of making. A piece of clay. A brushstroke. A melody. As I work, emotions that are difficult to express with words begin to take shape. Faces emerge. Strange creatures appear. Colors find one another. What begins as uncertainty slowly becomes something honest.
Many of the characters in my work exist somewhere between the beautiful and the bizarre. They aren't meant to represent monsters, but the complicated emotions we all carry, the parts of ourselves that feel awkward, misunderstood, lonely, joyful, resilient, or impossible to explain. They are reminders that imperfection has its own beauty and that every scar, crack, and rough edge tells a story worth telling.
Whether I'm sculpting, painting, or creating music, I'm chasing the same feeling: the quiet moment when chaos becomes creation.
I don't expect people to see what I see.
I hope they'll discover something of themselves instead.
If my work encourages someone to pause, become curious, embrace what makes them different, or simply feel a little less alone, then it has fulfilled its purpose.
